The Project begins . . .

After five long months, we finally secured our building permit last week. We had initially hoped to get our permit in 2 months or less. It is probably just as well that we were delayed, as the weather was very wet during the Autumn. This way, the contractor has had ample time to prepare, make suggestions, fine-tune estimates, etc.

Work began today. "Substantial" completion of the house is projected to occur by December 1, 2011. Wish us luck!
