On the left is the pop-out office and the south and west-facing window openings of that office. The contractor assures me that a space with windows on 3 sides will not create too much heat in Seattle. We shall see. The window opening to the right of the left photo is in the jack-and-jill BA.
In the right photo are a north-facing window opening for Rod's office and the powder-room window opening.
This photo was taken from the west end of the 2nd story, in what will be the edge of Rod's office. You will be able to see through to the lake at the east end from the west end of the house. Note the column in the middle of the lake view. We chose to go with two sliding glass doors that will open to each side from the middle, and require just one central beam for support. This decision will allow for unobstructed lake views from both the media & living rooms on the left and the kitchen and dining rooms on the right.
To the far right of the photo towards the foreground is the east-facing window opening of the pop-out office.
