Countertops are white ceasarstone, similar to what we have for the non-island countertops in San Francisco. Similar to SF, there will be two sinks: one at the island and one facing the dining room. Much of the exposed areas that you see near the windows will be covered by the white ceasarstone.
Appliances will be delivered Thursday. So I imagine that by the end of the week, the kitchen may be largely finished - except for the range hood. The (relatively small) hood is being custom-made in San Francisco by the same guy who did our hood for SF, because we were unable to find anyone in Seattle who would do it for a reasonable price. Since we had so much trouble finding a hood supplier, completion of the hood is lagging behind a bit. Not a big deal.
