Rock placement: serious business

The rocks that were originally specified in our landscape contract weighed up to a ton each, although the ones actually selected are smaller. Still, this is what was required to put them into place.

Unfortunately, the two lower, far-left boulders (bottom left photo) near the stairs are going to have to be slightly re-positioned to make room for the railing posts for the stairs.

These boulders are not merely decorative. Many were required to prevent soil erosion.
